This painting illustrates a beautiful vibrant sunset from a special spot on Cypress mountain, right by sky chair. Experiencing a sunset here is surreal, the late winter sun
painting the snow in ribbons of vibrant colors as it sets bellow the Howe Sound. I'm always amazed by how the snow capped trees glow in the golden rays and how the once-white snow around you lights up with colour. This effect was one of my main focuses for this piece. As you might gather from the number of times I painted this spot on Cypress, it truly holds a special spot in my heart, and I hope this painting inspires you to go out and explore!
